Living on Gulf Island Time – a visit to Pender Island, BC

Pender Island is not far, just a few miles across the water from the San Juan Islands.  But you have to go out of your way to get there from Washington State. You either travel to Vancouver or take two ferries from up in Anacortes, a long day or even an overnight trip.  And once you get there, return ferries are not that frequent.  So stay awhile.

On our last visit, seven years ago, as soon as we got off the ferry, things slowed down in a hurry.  This time, they seemed to slow down even more.
